Quality Of Service Report For Ashanti Region (May, 2010)

As part of licence conditions, Cellular Mobile Operators are required to maintain certain minimum quality of service key performance indicators. In May 2010, the National Communications Authority carried out an assessment of the quality of cellular mobile voice services provided by the operators MTN, Vodafone, Tigo, Zain and Kasapa in the Kumasi Metropolis, Obuasi, Mampong and Konongo Municipalities.

Request for Application - BWA License in the 2.5GHz Band

After the successful consultation of the Broadband Wireless Access Public Consultation, the Authority is now inviting applications from eligible Entities for the grant of the license to establish and operate a Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) service in the 2500MHz – 2690MHz frequency band.

SIM Card Registration

The Authority in conjunction with the mobile network operators have agreed to commence an exercise to register all prepaid mobile phone owners in the country. This was made known in Accra in a Press Release signed by the Director General of the NCA, Bernard A. Forson.
