Monitoring

After the issuance of licenses or authorizations, the NCA has the responsibility to ensure that operators comply with the technical and administrative requirements of their licenses or authorizations. This responsibility is carried out by the Monitoring and Enforcement Department of the Authority. The department's mandate is to police the national radio spectrum in order to weed out illegal and non-performing operators and also ensure authorized operations are not interfered with.{break}

The main tasks comprise the following:

  • Investigation of interference complaints
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant provisions of the Radio Regulations
  • Inspection of operating equipment of all the services authorized by the NCA and
  • Handling of type approval issues.

Interference Complaint

If you are an operator and you want to report a case of interference to your service, please complete and submit an Interference Complaint Form and our monitoring team will investigate and have it addressed as soon as possible.

However, administrators of broadcasting services can use a Self Inspection Check-list that we have provided to enable you correct certain anomalies prior to the NCA visiting the site where the interference is reported.
