Nationwide FM Broadcasting Audit
The National Communications Authority (NCA), as part of its regulatory mandate intends to conduct a nationwide audit of all authorised FM Radio broadcasting stations.
The purpose of the FM audit will include:
- determining assigned and available Frequencies,
- verifying the ownership of FM Radio Stations,
- And assessing the operational status of the FM Radio Stations amongst others.
The Audit is expected to take four (4) months and will begin in March, 2017. As part of this exercise, the Authority will not be receiving FM Radio applications until the Audit is completed.
The Authority requests that all FM stations should endeavour to cooperate with staff of the Authority who visit their premises during this period.
