NCA Holds Bilateral Frequency Coordination Meeting with Togo

The National Communications Authority (NCA) is holding a Bilateral Frequency Coordination Meeting with neighbour, Togo, to collaborate and resolve issues related to the use of Radio Spectrum along the Ghana-Togo Border. The meeting has participation from the Togolese regulator, and Service Providers from both countries.

Over the years, consumers living along the Ghana-Togo border in particular have complained about accidental roaming charges due to interference as they are switched between networks in the two countries. Operators in Ghana also lose subscribers as consumers tend to subscribe to networks from the neighboring country depending on the signal strength. The meeting is aimed at finding the most efficient method for resolving interference of signals in the border region.
