William Tevie Confirmed As Director General

Mr. William Tevie, has been confirmed by President John Mahama as Director General of the Authority to serve a four year term, following his appointment as Acting Director General of the National Communications Authority (NCA) on 22nd June, 2015.

As the Director General, Mr. Tevie, under the guidance of the governing board, will be responsible for regulating the growing and developing communications industry in Ghana.

He was the previous Director General of the National Information Technology Agency and a member of the previous NCA Board of Directors from 2009 to 2013, chairing the Board’s Sub Committee on Research in addition to being a member of the Board’s Sub Committee on Operations, Finance & Audit and Project Management.

Mr. Tevie took over the helm of affairs at the telecommunications regulator as the Acting Director General in June 2015 after the previous Director General, Mr. Paarock VanPercy ended his term of office.

Assuming the said position with the Authority barely a year, his recognition at the just ended GIITA Awards as an innovative leader in the Communications industry and his forward thinking recommendations in the field of ICT is a clear indication of his progressive ICT management, strategic planning and operations.

The Authority is pleased to have Mr. Tevie at the helm of affairs and looks forward to a prosperous future with him during this four year term.
