Mr. Philip Asare Kwame Ayesu

Mr. Philip Asare Kwame Ayesu is a results-oriented, solutions driven serial entrepreneur with a rich marketing/communications background spanning over 20 years. His experience and functional expertise cuts across advertising, branding, entrepreneurship and business management. Philip’s wealth of experience in business start-ups, strategy, business restructuring, branding and communication in the public and private sector shows in his involvement in building brands. These include UT Financial Services, Zenith Bank, Sikkens, Data Protection Agency, XMEN Ghana, Western Union, GHone TV and many more.

 

Philip is presently the Chief Operating Officer of the Multiple Concepts Group (Multiple Concepts Advertising, Charterhouse Events, Charterhouse Direct, Media Edge GSm), a position he has held since 2002.  He is responsible for the general operations of the Group and leads the advertising and mobile content business. He also doubles as the Creative Director, Head of Strategy and Business Development and leads the Sierra Leone and Liberia operations of the group. Philip sets the strategic direction and vision as well as mentoring and coaching employees to grow the business.

 

Under his leadership, MCG has become one of the most profitable advertising agencies and the leading events company in Ghana with offices in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Cape Verde and Nigeria. Additionally, Philip was instrumental in setting up the second mobile content company in Ghana (MediaEgde Gsm). MCG also became the first Ghanaian owned communications company to set up offices in Liberia and Sierra Leone. Philip was at the forefront of the setting up of GH One TV, and also created the number one comedy show in Ghana – A night of 1000 laughs and music.

 

As Head of Client Service and Sales at Multimedia Group, operators of Joy FM and sister brands between 1995 and 2002, Philip was responsible for the management and growth of key accounts (business), providing strategic direction and leadership for the Team to achieve goals and targets, designing sales tactics and modules to encourage and woo SMEs to advertise on radio, etc. He also helped set up Joy Marketing Services and the website, www.myjoyonline.com. One of Philip’s proudest achievements was creating, designing, securing funding and managing the first ever up-to-the minute live broadcast of Ghana Elections in the year 2000.

 

Philip is a Mentor and Permanent speaker of the US government’s Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI), Mentor and speaker for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses at the GIMPA Business School. He is also a Mentor and Permanent Speaker at Altis University (MBA Class), an affiliate of the Catholic Institute for Business and Technology (CIBT). He as well serves on the following boards; Multiple Concepts Group, Verdant Zeal, Daddy Day Care and XMEN
